Andrew Tan Khang Wee

Group Managing Director

Andrew graduated from Monash University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering. He started his career in the rubber industry making his way up from Project Engineer to General Manager before embarking on managing his own company. He is the founder of the Group having started as a single employee of TKSS Corrosion Technology Sdn. Bhd.

He oversees the Group’s operation on a day-to day basis with particular interest in the Group’s Fender Systems and Coating and Lining’s Division. He has 23 years of key experience in marine fenders, coating and linings pertaining to anti-corrosion scopes as well as rubber-based product design and manufacturing.

Thayaparan Ratnasothy

Group Technical Director

Thaya started his career in the infrastructure industry before moving to offshore oil and gas where he has been applying his knowledge for the past 15 years. Within the Group, he provides technical and contractual guidance to the working team for all Divisions. He is also currently tasked with positioning the Group to be involved in pipeline installation projects (offshore/onshore/nearshore) and other subsea application work scopes.

Thaya graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham before completing a postgraduate diploma in Process Piping Engineering Design from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Bala Subramaniam Murugappan

Project Director – Earthworks, Roadworks and Bridges

Bala is our Project Director and person-in-charge for civil works encompassing design and build projects involving earthworks, road works and bridges. He comes with 30 plus years of experience in the civil engineering field having started his career as a design engineer/consultant making his way up to being a contractor. Currently he looks after the Group’s business with respect to earthworks, road works and bridges from tender submission to project execution and completion when and if successful.

Bala graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Western Australia.

Zulkhairi Haron

Project Director – Corrosion Protection

Zul comes with 26 years of experience in the corrosion protection domain with specific hands-on experience with respect to oil and gas pipelines and tanks. His work involves upstream and downstream scopes having vast experience working in petrochemical, chemical, refineries and power plants.

His expertise lie in corrosion protection systems condition assessments which include spark gap/MIJ assessments, corrosion under pipe support assessments, pipeline integrity surveys and risk based inspection. He is also able to design ICCP and SACP systems for pipelines (onshore and offshore).

He graduated with a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Ungku Omar Polytechnic before pursuing his Higher National Diploma in the same field at Swindon College & University.
